L Is For Less Privileged people

"In the world village 34 people go to bed hungry" Madame Radler read to us. Madame Radler read us a book (If The World Were A Village) about a village that had 100 people in it. That means that every person in the village makes up for a number close to 16 million people in the real world. There were lots of facts and stats that were very informing but extremely scary in this book. Just imagine that about 34 percent of the worlds population goes to bed hungry every day! In Canada we are very privileged to go to school and get to have fun. Across the world people and mostly kids are forced to work and are not aloud to play. My points about my topic are my opinions on saving food for the future and starvation, why we are so lucky in our daily lives in Canada and why I truly enjoyed If The World Were A Village.

Did you know that 800 million people suffer from hunger and malnutrition in the world? That's unbelievable because there are only 8 billion people in the world so for every 1000 people 1 suffers from one of these horrible sicknesses. As the world grows in population food will start to run out. This will mean that all of us will have to live through starvation. Our world is rapidly loosing its food supplies because humans waste so much every day. I think that every country in the world should sign a treaty that says that humans have to store their food so we don't run out as fast. This is a good idea because then when we do run out there will still be some left for all humans around the world. This opinion sounds kind of like communism but this is the only way that we will survive for a longer time. So try not to waste as much food and always think about those who are starving. This is so because everybody will be living through these harsh sicknesses some day.

"You better eat everything on your plate young man" my mom says in the middle of dinner. People in Africa don't even have enough on their plate to eat so why do we? I don't know why but I guess Canadians just have always had good leaders or great relationships with other countries. These great things help us get imports and food to come into our country. The difference between a country like Africa and a country like Canada is that Canada has a great police force, we don't have many wars, we have a good government, we have good health care and we have many more great privileges. The reason why this is, is because I think that terrorists (and people who believe in mass destruction) attack weaker and destroy weaker countries because they don't have a police force. So we are so lucky to live lives that are healthy, with no war and no horrible tragedies.

"This book will help you understand the world better by putting all the facts in smaller numbers" our teacher said. The biggest reason why I enjoyed this book was because it helped me understand the world in an all new way. It's hard to understand the world in huge numbers for kids and even for adults. I think that this author should make a huge book of these facts about almost everything in the world. Some examples are number of cars in the world, number of families in the world and a lot more interesting facts. I think that this book should win lots of awards for best book for the understanding of the world. This is so because it really helps you do just that. If you want to learn more about this, the book that we read is called If The World Were A Village. I recommend this book for everyone to read!

The world is where every human lives so everyone should have the same rights to living healthy, following their dreams and understanding the world.

LIFE LESSON: NEVER EVER FORGET WHAT LESS PRIVILEGED PEOPLE ARE LIVING THROUGH WHEN YOU ARE LIVING A GREAT LIFE WITH LOTS OF PRIVILEGES. :)
